Datuk Haji Hamden, aged 63, a Malaysian, was appointed as our Director on 1 May 2007. On 16 June 2010, he was redesignated from Independent Non Executive Director to Executive Director, and further, redesignated to the position of Group Managing Director on 29 March 2011. He is a member of our Special Tender and Land Acquisition Committee and our Risk Management Committee. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He began his career as a Chief Accountant with Sarawak Land Development Board from 1978 to 1982. He set up his own accounting firm in 1983. He was the former Assistant Minister of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Social Development and Urbanisation and former Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Urban Development and Tourism. He is a Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Naim Holdings Berhad and a Director of BLD Plantation Berhad. He also holds directorships in several private limited companies. He is currently the Treasurer of the Sarawak Oil Palm Plantation Owners Association.

Encik Zahari bin Mohd Nusi, aged 54, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (RMIT), a Diploma in Planting Industry and Management (UiTM) and an Associate Diploma with the Incorporated Society of Planters.

Prior to this appointment, Encik Zahari was the Vice President 1 at Sime Darby Berhad and was seconded to Minamas Plantation in Indonesia since 2005. Earlier, he was a Plantation Advisor with Golden Hope Plantations. Encik Zahari's plantation career began in 1979 under Harrisons & Crosfield. All in all Encik Zahari has more than 32 years of management experience in the plantation industry.
