20 November 2009: SPB was named as the 1st runner-up at the 2009 SCCI Annual Corporate Report Awards held at the Hilton Hotel Kuching on 20th November 2009. The Group Managing Director, Hj Mohd Bolhair Reduan received the award from the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, YB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri George Chan Hong Nam. The winner for this year's award was Sarawak Energy Berhad while Cahya Mata Sarawak was the 2nd runner-up. Also at the function were SPB Directors and Management Staff namely Hj Chaiti Hj Bolhassan, Hj Bolhan Berawi, Datu Mohd Sepuan Anu, En. Azizi Morni, En. Liew Men Khian, Pn. Trina Tan and Pn. Koay Bee Eng.
